Applied Psycholinguistics Lab
Welcome to our Psycholinguistics Lab, where language meets cognition in captivating research endeavors. Our projects dive deep into the intricate world of bilingualism, exploring perceptions, emotions, and attitudes toward languages and cultures. Through open interviews, we uncover how bilingual individuals navigate dual identities and cultural nuances.
In our Foreign Language Phonology project, we analyze how speakers adapt to foreign languages, exploring the factors contributing to accents and the transfer of native language features.
Additionally, we investigate Minspeak, an innovative communication method for those unable to use natural speech. By studying its universality in message generation, we draw parallels with speech micro-genesis.
Join us as we unravel the fascinating connections between language, cognition, and culture, exploring how they shape our communication and understanding of the world.
